Thousands have flocked to the streets in London to watch the military spectacle that marks the official birthday of the monarch – this year being Charles’s first since becoming King.
More than 1,400 soldiers are parading – 200 horses and hundreds of army musicians are also taking part.
The tradition of Trooping the Colour dates back to the days when flags were used as rallying points on the battlefields.
The event finishes with a massive flypast over Buckingham Palace.
